Liz Stoneman

Are you struggling with difficult feelings at the moment? I am an experienced BACP accredited counsellor qualified to work with adults, and am offering a non-judgemental confidential space for you to explore and try to understand these feelings whether it be anxiety, depression, or perhaps just a general feeling of emptiness or loss.

I work in a warm and supportive manner, and will work with you to discover the route of whatever difficult feelings you are experiencing and how to navigate through them. I am trained in the Psychodynamic approach, which means I work by looking to the past through observing and analysing patterns of behaviour, working with the unconscious, and overall how your past may have informed your present.

I trained with Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy Service (WCPS) and hold a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and abide by these Code of Ethics.

I am a accredited member BACP and registered member of WCPS.

I have over 20 years experience of working with young people in a variety of educational settings in supportive roles, as well as both young people and adults in counselling agencies.

I offer a free 30 minute phone consultation in order for you to ask me some initial questions, and see how comfortable you feel in working together.

After this we would meet weekly for a 50 minute session at the same time and place, on going for as long as you wish, or short term if you have a specific issue you would like to focus on within an agreed time frame.

My fee is £45 per session.

If you would like more information, or to book an initial meeting with me please do get in touch. I look forward to meeting you.
