5 Benefits of a Sound Bath

1) Emotional release. At the beginning of our sound baths, we often mention to everyone in the room that if they want to fall asleep or have a cry during the sound bath that that is completely normal and its a safe space to do so. Sounds are a great somatic tool to help move energy around our body and often that energy needs to come out in a cry or a yawn or in a long slow exhale. Sound baths create an environment to do this. 

2) Improves sleep quality. 'I could go to bed right now' is literally the first thing people say to us as they come out of the sound bath! This is because sound baths help quieten your mind and help turn your attention inward.

3) Soothes your nervous system. The high frequency of the bowls are renowned for hitting certain points in your body, known as the chakras, via sound waves. Sound has such a powerful way of instantly making us feel at ease, which stimulates our parasympathetic nervous system. 

4) Time to yourself. Other than going to bed or maybe on a commute are you ever really alone and still. Sound baths are such a good way to have some time just for yourself, to fill up your own cup. 

5) Addition to your self care tool kit. Sound baths are a great addition to those go to things that make you feel safe and cosy and recharged. They are a wonderful tool to use alongside more tradition therapies such a talk therapy or before or after a massage. With sound baths you don't need to talk or change or have any equipment, you just come as you are and it's a simple yet effective way of looking after yourself.
